Spring

I am not sure where this year is going at all.... DANG  soon April folks!   Youngest  daughter and  hr  boyfriend  riding on a new toy..good for   lawn care and fishing  LOL  may I say  multi purpose  buggy....yes!!!
Not long after the  kids had  Spring  break...the snow melted and  we  had  some gorgeous  days  even  a few in the  upper 60's and  low 70"s..then one afternoon  I hear what  I love..thunder rolling in from the  West....I am not sure why  I am so addicted to storm  clouds....
But  I have always  loved  to watch them...and within a few minutes of these  photos  we got our first  Spring  rain....
This si what  it looked  liked  right before the  rains
So much  moisture  we need this.....Been an unusual dry  winter...very  mild for us and that  usually  means  a drought to  follow for the  farmers
Wahlah!!  Look  at the  difference after the rain.... just greened right  up..amazing huh/
Now that means   if this  keeps up by  Mid April I might have to mow and I am  not at all crazy about that  idea.....   But  the  green is  welcome  :)
I even  got  some stuff in hot  box  started.....far left is   Roma  Tomatoes/ The  middle is  purple  cornflowers.....and the right side is  Broccoli/   Hope if  weather  permits I  will be  planting  spuds on Good Friday!!

Caught myself a  slight head  cold so  took  today off....Rumor has it that flu  has  hit   some schools and  nursing  homes in the  area....Sure hope I can  stay clear of that!!  So back to my cough drops  and Kleenex and soups....

Hope you all  have a  Blessed week!

Oh Happy Day...The sun   is shining...The  breeze  is just soft  and actually warm enough for me to sit out side on the   deck with the  dogs  basking in their  Vitamin D as well and  read!!
Been  reading up on essential oils....and what  I can do with them.....and the fun I have had!!   I created these little  creams  using  an unscented lotion and sunflower oil  along with  lemon grass....
I made a dozen and  put them in my shop and  in four days  bam they were  gone  *laughs*/
Soooo  today  when I got home  I made some more......  :)
Sometimes I just need to  sit...and  when I find myself  just sitting is   when i can become  most creative...and not sure why that  is...... but will share  with  you some of the  art trading  cards  I did  this past week  in between clients....The one above  was created using  scrap book  papers and cardstock as the base., and the dog  is  from a magazine
I am not sure yet what words  I wish to put on this one  but it  was created using  card stock  and paper from one of my church bulletins....
Cardstock, scrap books papers and  a church  bulletin and  some words  for inspiration  from a magazine
I love this  kitten......cardstock and magazine
My youngest daughter was  home on spring  break this past week and s he  said this was her favorite....... index card as  my base....(recycle ya  know)  and then some scrap book papers and the olive oil   is a  magazine photo.
This kitty  is so  bright she can not help but make me  smile........

and with all that  once again I wish you all  a very  healthy and  Blessed week....... Enjoy  the  days and  life...as  we all know it is too precious  to waste!

March already?

Oh where has time gone?   Here  we are  March 1.....WOW......Normally  I dread winter   as it is  long  cold and  drawn out  but  this year  we have  had  such  nice weather  it has  just  flown  by....Not too far  off now  will be garden season!

I do  hope to once again be able to  get a  decent  garden in and perhaps  get some  serious  canning  done this  year...running  on short  supply!

We did  have  some  rain and snow mix  causing some  road issues  yesterday and  today  the  sun  came  out  and felt so good!!  We did  close to six  inches in the yard  so  had to  do some shovel work  but  nothing too major!

Well I know in a post  not  too long ago  I  shared about  some  essential oils...I have got to tell ya  I am loving this   stuff!!  So much that  I became   a consultant *laughs* as  if I did not have  enough to do  but....  I had  several  clients  interested   so   I did  some work  and  able to deliver  for them  what  they  were seeking.....

I sat up my massage chair  at  two events  lately and applied some oils and  did  some neck and shoulder  treatments and  just met  new people.....Simply wonderful!!  Who would have  thought  I would  ever  be  doing this too!!  LOL  Not  ME!!!!

Any  how  if you want to  take a sneak peek at what they are  here ya  go.....

Essential oils

So in the mean  time  I hope you all have  a great weekend......

Blessings~

Just saying hi

I know these days  are  just crazy busy with  everyone  so it seems......But I do so love to  come in here  to blog land with a hot java  and  read up on my  friends and see what everyone is up to....

I love browsing the  photos of your  lives and  things you have going  on as well... such a relaxing time for me.....Then  SNAP reality  is back  *laughs*

I can not believe  we are in the  middle of  February already./  Hardly any snow this winter to speak of and had  some farmers concerned  about the  moisture content.....I really  hope this is  not  another  1988 the  year of the drought.

I have  no  completed  my studies  for national  testing  for massage.... more or less  a brush up of former studies  with a twist of  some  Eastern culture techniques as well added in there....

This past weekend  I went to the  Great Western Minnesota get together....( used to be called farm and  home show)  Vendors   of  businesses   set up  as well as  local crafters and sell their  goods...Ohhh fun   just browsing...I bought  a local mans  home made jellies.....Jalapeno and raspberry.......It is sooooo  good!! I bought some last  year and  loved it  so  bought more this  year...  Then I stumbled  upon some ladies  selling some  essential  oils... Which  for me  was a blessing as  in the  last   three weeks I have  had  four  clients  asking about  oils...soooo I spent  a good  45 minutes at their booth......and yep  bought   an oil as well....DoTerra  Oils  I bought the   slim and sassy oil....add a few drops to your water  and drink it....Ohhhh not too bad,.....Hubby  commented to the ladies...well shes got the  sassy  part   down  (LMAO)  Can you  believe  that!  Hmpf!!

Any  how  not much   else  happening here.........Hope you all have  a blessed weekend  fast approaching~

Blessings~

Oh  and for those  who like to buy  fabric...I thought this  was  kind  of a neat  place.....

Well now.....I have not started 2012 off well in blog  land  have I ?  I did not realize that  an entire month snuck by and I did not  even make a single  post or anything.......*Sighs* Well no excuses  except that  at times life gets in the way   and I got busy  and did not  even  *think*
The kids  and  their boyfriends  were  home  for two weeks for their college  breaks and the majority of that time was spent in ice houses.......holding  fishing poles  and then coming home  to warm toes and clean fish of course....
My oldest and I did   some baking to fulfill orders  she took at college...
Ohhhhhh  these were addicting!!!Marshamallows dipped in home made caramels and then   rolled in rice krispies or some  we left plain....
I am bummed the photo did not turn out as well as I hoped  but oldest  created  her first pie from scratch!!!   I was so proud of her.....
Chocolate  cream cheese......no calories.... she made  seven of these and sold them...LOL
Ohhhh the shop is moving up...look what  hubby  did for Christmas.....He  had a frame  made for the mail box to hold a sign.......  I  LOVE IT!!!
Not the best photo  but  when  I  think about it I will go down  and take a photo as it turned out very well!!
I have been busy  in the business.....and actually  between clients and soap notes and charts.....I do find  some time to create......Been busy  making scarves!!!
A client of mine created these  rings   I display for her......They are  made out of  buttons....I thought they were  cute.....no two alike for sure!!
I did order some product this  year to add tot he shop consisting of some aromatherapy  items....and bio-freeze!!  Can not seem to keep any of it  in stock.... But then I guess that  is good  right??
Now February is here.....I have  Valentines on the brain... and created  some pink and white  dish cloths  for my daughters.....and of course some chocolates to go with them.....

The shop is keeping quite  busy and I guess that  is what  I wanted.... and I am  able to  keep stuff made and sell that as well  with  the seasons... Soon summer will be here and  I will be in the gardens!!!!

Our weather  has been so odd....WARM.....no snow  here, tomorrow they say  will be cooler.... I sure hope this is not the sign of a Drought  headed our  way.......

Well until next time  I guess that  brings you up to date  in my  corner of the  world....  Blessings to all~

Youngest daughter and her  boyfriend.....spending mega hours out on the lake  ice fishing   LOL

Sooooo  she  put on the  boyfriends old  gloves to take a photo   lol//   We did  actually have  a fish  fry this  night... largest fish was  a 21 inch waleley/ they  caught  some northerns  and some  crappies as well  in their  ventures./
