Calling All artists

 Where did summer   and  fall go?  Busy  in the harvest here and now shut  down with some good rains.......So just a fast update.....above photos taken  for  an ATC  trade that  I am in  for photography on birds........

 Back  In September  Becky's  husband surprised her  with  a 21st. BD  party!  Indeed a fun night out for all!

I signed up for an online  class  in face book....called  Ghost girls///  Such a fun class!!   These are  a couple of pieces  done  with inks and cardboard  none the less.....

Still need  a lot of practice!!  But............................... yep we all know  how that  goes...wishing all  well in bloggers land!

Summer ends School begins

 Just been a super busy summer and I am so down.....It is  hot, humid, miserable  and can not go outside with this heat and  it is driving me totally nuts~...Any how just a small glimpse at what I have been working on this last  few weeks..,....Tomatoes.....canned a few  ate a few  and now time to dry  a few bags then I will be done!

 Cucumber salad is always good on a hot day!

 August 20, 1988........Hubby and I rolled over our 25th.

Picked a few strawberries this year  out of my ever bearing berries.......Cant wait to see if they do well over the winter  and bear decent  next year!!

Nothing for art or crafts  :(   I really need to do some creative work but simply have not been able to find  the free time to do so! ....................

Our Oldest daughter  has postponed their wedding  until next year.......So the shower and wedding  photos perhaps will  follow in 2014  :)

 Talk about  beauty  of  God...........This is such a bright orange in my front garden this year!!!

 I am not sure what these are.......they are in  a back garden that   I have  for my fairies and angel collections...........Certainly takes over and  grows fast....and  brings in the butterflies and lil birds too..I love it!

The bride  thought she needed more sticks.......imagine that~.........................

Summer Days

 Well I finally made it to Milan to hit some serious  studio time....One of the down falls  not haveing it in my home I guess........Any how....The above totem.......Not quite done.....my next step will be inking and painting the  flesh then  giving some background  color to surround him.....  He needs a  name...any ideas?

 Well not perfect...but sure  has been fun.....I took several quilt panels and cut them  apart to create and three pieces applique then did some s thread sketching on top......Still need  to bind it

 Remember the leaves  I didnt like.......ya well this is what  I turned them into.......and  didnt like it after  I added the brown  in.....soooooooo  did  a white  wash... went back with soft dry brush....

 added some alcohol sprays and did some spritzing.........Still not sure I like  it   Grrrrr.....

I participated in an art tag swap so got this lil guy done too.......   Just  random fun was all....



Hope all are staying cool...... Off to catch up on some reading  and see what the  rest of ou have been up to!.....

Storms not always welcome

The flower garden that  I started  last year   is looking good.......  flowers  are  coming through for me!  Hope to do some  expansion in the project this year  as well~

 HOWEVER  the  last  two evenings  we have  had some short nights.......much  rain   high  winds..  Yesterday this  tree in my back yard  came  down.....

 Some of the  crops  are a bit over watered.....

 They  look like mini rivers  in some  fields.......HOWEVER>......we  are safe  and  our  home   has  not been  hit......we  are  Blessed and  I know the  Lord will not give us more than we can deal with....  Today we  had more high winds  come  through.....another  tree by  our shed  is split in half  and  more water  came our  way.......as  well as many in  this area   and  Western SD  do not have power.......  Updates to  follow  tomorrow~

 I did manage to escape  for part of a day......created a few more magnests for the show this year...

 Now  for this mess.....I love fall,  it is my faorite  time of the year  so I decided to play with leaves///

 played with acrylic paints/ many colors and  many layers.....and  I was kind of liking it

until the background  turned  darker than I cared for....  :(  Oh well........  Time for something new I guess.......

So now I am  here........still fall colors......blank canvas  so  to speak!!  Just  not sure what  I can  put on it yet.................Any thoughts??       Blessings  to all....eyes to the  skies......be  safe and be well

Old Barns

 I went on a 50 mile ride today........looking for  and getting  permission from people to photo shoot some old barns.......  It  was  such a gorgeous  day.....We did a  Grill out  for  hubby in honor of  Fathers  Day as well

 The  story begins........all the guests are  passengers on a ship...the bride and groom are beginning the  night on a cruise with these passengers...the lights on the ship go out and  the passengers  offer to assist the  bride getting prepared for the honeymoon night...................

 each passenger  hands the  bride   an item  and shes got to   put it on.......

 Long johns  were  first

 Then came  a 42  DD  bra  the  bride  says  * Its too big*  and   some one in the  crowd  says    (  Don't worry  in 30 years  it will fit  fine!)   LOL..hats  gawdy necklaces...clear lip balm  and frog slippers  created the attire for the  wedding  night.

 The bride  got to see    how she looked..............  :)

New-----------------------

 Well it  was time for a new  doo any  how!~  Now if I could just get it to look  this good all the  time!
Actually this was an experimental hair do  for the  July wedding......Not sure  If I want this look  or to go with  looose  curls...hmmmm??

 Speaking of new.......I was in my back yard working in the herb garden and  this  bird  kept  scolding me.......after looking  closer for a few minutes  I saw why.......Awe.......

 Well I gave the old center piece a new look as well for this  Saturdays  shower in our  home town.....

Wishing for some sunny days,..   The  crops are all in  and just about done with my garden but it is so  cool and  dreary....Although the moisture was needed  we do indeed need some sun!
