Happy Monday

 Oh what a great weekend!  Did an art show....That is my second one  in the month of  October...Today  I  am feeling totally exhausted!  But uplifted as  the art show  was a great  time

 All the  artists that rent  a studio  in this old school  were  asked to  display and sell...and  open our  studios  for those who wish to browse.....

 So my friend and  I  decided to go ahead  and  display  items  set  up in   a room next to our  studio....

 Atr the  end  of the   day we  had  148  signatures  to  our  guest book  and  a couple  of sold  items,

 Makes it  all worth  while  and such a  good feeling.....I am looking forward to the  next one!

as we finished  last night  with the  studio tours...we joined the  fellow artists   down in the old  gym for a delightful  dinner... they served us BBQ ribs  along with  chicken  breast stuffed with  wild  rice...Green beans, mashed potatoes.  savory  breads  and pumpkin cheese  cakes....coffee water and  lemonade.......delightful!

 Got another  fair  this week........mercy....not sure  how people  do this often....wears me out....any  how~........I did   up a few  prayer  rocks.....also  got some magnets made  but  will have to post them in a week no pics   of em  yet.....

 We  got a  new   stray kitty that happened upon our  farm  a couple weeks  ago.......younger male  cat that  looks  like he  was  shot......really  think.....we  have  fed  him back to health and hes  healing  up   somewhat.....Soooo hubby   built the  cat house   you see above!! Can lift the roof to place food and  water  inside  and it is  even insulated/

 Oldest  daughter   wants to  dress up  for halloween  so  a  quick peek at that  as well...have  not  crated  a garment  in YEARS,.............. nothing too fancy.........

 This is  as far as  I have  gotten so far......................( will be unlined)

We took  youngest  daughter and her   fiance   to Redwood falls  to see   Sara  Evans...excellent  concert  and   a  fun night...............


Not much  else happening here......yard  is  still  a mess from all  the  work  getting  done........

Meander and Art show

 What  a long  but  WONDERFUL weekend......Showed some art...bought  some art...went  studio  hopping.....It just  can not  get much better than that!!Above  is the  table that  I displayed.....Commissioned  a few  things  as well...soo.......guess what  I will be  doing  now  between  clients   LOL~

 I love this  quilt.....and the  Chinese  lanterns....

 Pottery......I can  not  wait   for  his  stuido  to open I want  some of  his  items

 We served   3  types of soup  and   pumpkin bars....Lots of people came  through~

 This   lady  does   photography and  sells her  prints....as well as magnets and journals....  I do ow some of her art and  I  bought  2 of her  journals...I will share  those  in  another  blog  post!

 It   is  really fun to sit back and  just  watch the  people and listen to them  talk

 The  crowds  were small  but  steady/......Which  was  great  none of the  artists  felt that  over whelming  feeling~

 Volunteers  really came   out  and   worked  as  teams  and made this happen!   I truly  hope we can make  this  happen more  out here!

Blessing and Spirit dolls...

 I tried to keep  photos  of  each day as  the  new  shed  grew.....This  crew  impressed me....they  put in 12-14  hour  days

 a crew of  4  most of the  time........

 Hubby  is   just  finishing  up the  home  field here.......Bountiful harvest

 Taadaaaa...It is  complete......except  for  some  gravel to be  hauled...and  another  door to place  on the back side....and then    some  land scape.....................Looks  good!!

 I am  participating in some  atc  swaps.....so  here  is  first one  I did...the  swap  has  to be  of    magazine  or  newspaper.....  LOL.....  Not  sure..I might  just keep that  one....

Then  I am working  on a  coffee swap.....Hope to  finish these  yet this  week...........


As I type this.....Our harvest  is  Complete.......NORMAL  year  we  are  just  hitting  corn.....but  due to being  so dry   it just  went    early this   year...We  are  blessed  with   bountiful  crops...and   bountiful gardens......Tomorrow  I  will  be  working on   the  clean  up  process   of    some of the   equipment.....and then putting  away  garden   items...supposed to   get  cooler   later  this  week.

Before  I forget.....I  am participating in  an  art  show   at the  end of the  month  and  would like  to do a  little   write  up on  the  Spirit   dolls....  but  I am    not  having  much  luck  finding  any  information on  them......Like  a history  of:   can any one  help me out?
