Happy New Year
I love new Beginnings, Not just a new year, but think of all as a new beginning, a new birth, a new day, new weeks and new months, perhaps a new relationship, new friendship, Oh the list could go on and on..... I always have believed that everything new in our life appears for a reason, not long it might perhaps become an "old" in our life but some times if we take the time to quiet the mind and sit and reflect how we felt when things were NEW, it brings back that spark or the calm we seek to begin fresh,.
I spent some time catching up in blogs that I love to read, and as I read a few of them found myself inspired, in awe, amazed and last but not least totally blessed to have these connections and friends! I truly have been blessed and wanted to say THANK YOU for being in this part of my life.
Last week I created a list of things I want to accomplish in 2011...no particular rhyme or reason to it... but thought I would share some of them here...

Merry Christmas
We spent 2 hours on cutting the sashings which she wanted 1 inch finished so I cut them at 1.5......and proceeded to sew the rows and she loved the look as did I.......we did manage to get four of the rows completed and decided to work on the rest today.....she shows up at my house and says I changed my mind I want to do it another way......... By this time I am not smiling she decided she wants to change the entire layout...and I was not smiling or in any mood to mess with this person who has n idea how to quilt let alone know how much work it entails...
she had some photo blocks printed off at a photo place that was supposed to be on cotton poly and was almost like a nylon......they frayed so bad we could not use them well we can but I know she will not be happy with them so I decided not to even venture there, I guess her husband thinks he can do that which I am very grateful for!!! The two people that were doing some cross stitch blocks for her to place in the quilt are not even close to being done but yet I am supposed to have this done for cmas!
So I instead gathered up all of my supplies , scissors, seam ripper, I cut all the sashings they need,....I gave a very basic demo on how to tie a quilt and also how to sew the binding on.......and sent her on her way home..... not even caring now if I get the stuff back as I was so frustrated she even did this expecting this much stuff on short notice when we ALL summer and most of the fall to work on it but she didn't realize HOW MUCH WORK this was...>Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ok got that issue handled and now onto making some goodies for Christmas as I have to work the weekend and oldest daughter will only be home Thurs night late and Friday so celebrating early house is needing some much tender love and cleaning which I may get to tonight along with a ton of laundry to complete!.
How come no one ever told us growing up life was going to be this way!???
All in all life is good...we are all healthy and have so much to be thankful for!!
I wanted to not grumble but take some time and wish all of you a very Blessed Merry Christmas!
Reba~
