Yippeeee am sooooooooooo glad it is Friday, one of the little gals from college came back to us at work and was seeking hours...Guess who could give her some!! YEP Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh I am sooooo glad to be off a few days!
Yesterday I was assisting hubby out by the grain bins, he decided to add a ring onto one to make more capacity for storage, simple enough right?
WRONG, after 2 hours of bending over with air wrench and lord only knows how many nuts and bolts taken out...we were part ways done!
Today I go to get out of bed and my lower left backside is in PAIN, it is slightly swollenand I took some tylenol and hit the old ice pack and groaned!
Not to mention I have been moving furniture and cleaning..Oh ya and I am moving my crsfting and sewing back to the basement, the little room just could not hold all of my stuff....now do i really need to clean out or what,
Which remind me...I like so much...I sew, crochet, cross stictch, trying to learn to paint by influence of my sister!! I also do embroidery work, collect nuemrous things,....I am luterally running out of room,...how do you choose just one thing to do..or choose to downsize...My fabric stash alone could fill a wall of a bedroom easily..I have s ome stuffed in totes, Im talking like 6 totes, I have 3 large shelves for fat quarters....one alone for books....LOL well I am sure you get the picture by now, I really do need to organize and clean out but how and where to begin when i love doing it all and want to learn more?
Ok so thats my brain picking for the day gonna go hit the bed and some ice packs again and HOPEFULLY dull the pain by morning!
have a great weekend gang!

OMGosh! My back hurts just hearing about all of that! I hope you are feeling better?
ReplyDeleteI have so many different interests/hobbies, too, as you probably already know--hehe! Organizing them in a one-bedroom apartment was a real challenge. I had to go thru everything and get rid of what I didn't really need (but that wasn't all that much because you never know, :):)right?). Then I divided them into sections--painting, cardmaking, papermaking, polymer clay, and the smaller specialized stuff. The painting had sub-sections: oils, acrylics, watercolors, and Chinese brush painting. It took Leah and I several months--and we made purchases (bins, etc) leading up to the job--but we finally finished and it was so worth it in the end. Sounds like your project would be just as big or bigger than mine was--whew! But how can we choose? I can't. I need all of my various loves and thoroughly enjoy the variety and the uniqueness of each hobby. I bet you do, too! I say--find a way to keep them all! And if it takes you months and months to plug away at organizing--so be it. I think it took me a couple of years of "thinking and planning" before I started to even buy what I needed for storage--and then I did that little by little. :):)
Sorry to go on--but I can sooo relate and it was awesome once we finally were finished. I'd been here almost four years before we were done--ROFL!! But--right now--just take care of your back and just do the thinking and planning--hehe!
I'm glad to hear that you are off for a few days.
ReplyDeleteI hope your back feels lots better! I hurt my neck exercising but it's feeling a little less painful today.
I like to do lots of crafts as well. I like knitting, crocheting, sewing, plastic canvas, embroidery, making doilys, cross stitch and I'm sure there is lots more that I can't think of right now. I'd love to learn how to draw, I did pretty good when I was a teen but have not tried it in a long time. Do you know of any good beginner drawing books I could get?
