Hang on there

Came in the house from the garden and right away I said hang on there!! The doors are going in Yipppeee
Not sure how well you can see it but I took a photo of the new paint color it has undertones of green and yellow.

I came home today and the floor is going in, Moving right along and I just LOVE the floor!
Ok time for some plau and did a simple ATC.. watercolor pencil
another ATC of fire and wood. again using watercolor pencil
Quite some time ago I had posted a photo of this tiger in sketch... now I have just began the painting process.... hope I can get it done with out too much of a mess.
Ok getting back to the Water theme... Just playing in pencils and water color. Not quite what I had in mind but that is ok...happy mistakes are good I guess.

This reminded me of the red rocks in Oklahoma near my Aunts cabin minus the trees... I love the red rocks!! Again a learning process....

moved but not settled

Well I did some drawing with colored pencils Oh so out of practice and never professed to be a good one at drawing but I so love art and I figure practice makes perfect! So on for the update this week ...........
While I was in the process on a vacation day to move my stuff from the basement to a shed outside I cam in for a load and saw this........Hubby says lets take this window out! Now mind you see the paneling and the door that leads to the reiki room!!
Taaa daaa Window is gone and man did this open up the house!
A few hours later I came in and look...no more door to the reiki room... So any how I proceeded to move my stuff and knew I was close to getting done, when all of a sudden my cell phone rang and the t alk goes like this....

Hi Mom... Ummm can you bring a ladder around the side of the garage closest to my room....(me) Why? (DD) cause I am stuck on the roof. (me) HOw did you manage that one? as I am headed to the house for a camera and no ladder this is what I got....(DD) I was trying to put my screen in but couldnt so I crawled out and gave it a push so now the scree is in but I am stuck outside!! ...........UGH she does take after her dad I promise! LOL
Oh mom this is soooo embarrassing...(me) ya but it makes good photo story for next years graduation board!....still no ladder she laughed at me and calls her dad....Who of course is working inside on the new addition.... I head in and head upstairs to her room
I remove the screen and in she crawls......at least she was laughing
Ohhhh for good times and never seems to be a dull moment in the household


Well after I rescue the kid I go back to the shed and start getting some stuff put away and here is the update of that...shelves are getting plenty full....moved the music and the coffee those are definite must for me!
Bought a new dog bed for the little man of the house and he has already made good use of it!
I got started on painting the next day...it really does not seem to show the true color but i chose almost a lemon grass yellow very faint tint and I love it!

Later in the day hubby got some of the waynes coating on...a chair rail will go over the top of that...But I first need to get them stained. That is on the agenda yet this evening


I had such an exciting week...... Baumcat called me and I got to meet her and we went for a good hot coffee and warm caramel roll, was so exciting meeting her as I so admire her work and her blog... Such a lovely lady! Thanks so much Cat for taking the time on your vacation to look me up!

Moving slow

Well the transition of my little get away is certainly slow but I am REALLY liking my new space!
An old corner where the sink used to be....Im gonna buy a chair to stuff in the corner and a quilt of course!
I got some cork up for a design wall....and in the corner got my rack started for some of my papers. The fabric fat quarters are slowly moving in
Still got plenty of space for stuff which is great because by the time I am done it will be full or close to it I am certain!
A better view of the cork wall and some designer blocks my girlfriend didnt have a use for. She painted the boards and brought them out.. Such fun. Certainly not fancy and top notch but it is going to be a great escape hopefully within the week I will have it completed.

Several sightings in the area tonight of tornadoes....hubby called me on his way home and said if ya dare venture out we got a dark cloud over the home front that looks to be approx 10 miles radius....He was a bout 4 miles south of home when he called so I went out and these are a few of what I captured/




We took a little drive very minimal damage just wind.....but looks like another front moving in later tonight so think i will get some sleep early a s I have a feeling gonna be a bad night./

Hot and Humid or Both

What a weather pattern the last few days, Hot muggy, your clothing is wet before you even do anything. The air is so thick you can hardly breathe. I still maintain those with any upper respiratory problems best stay inside until this passes....and those of us that do not have those issues we most likely will before it is don! Sounds like the rest of the week it will be in the high 90's and remain humid.

Hubby and I have been trying to tape in the new addition and do some mudding but it simply is not drying so I guess we will wait until this weather pattern breaks.

Oldest daughter and her boyfriend came home yesterday and brought some garden goodies for me to do some canning for them .But was still fun and we had a great visit! I am just thrilled she has taken an interest in raising her own garden!!


Ohhhh I both a new read and looks like it is going to be good, I ordered it off of Amazon, Name of the book is Spiritual Healing by Robert E Detzler, I am anxious to get get this and see what it is all about. Will have to update you later on that and if any of you out there have read it please let me know what ya thought of it!

Today was a day off....I did a few loads of laundry and some major cleaning! Long over due and just enjoyed visiting the kids! made us a pork roast with all the trimmings and sent the kids back home on their way back to hustle and bustle of college life but always great to see them!

Well another week and a bit more work happening on the farm...we got some landscaping done
I told my husband I think we picked the hottest day of the year to shovel rock!
But in the end I love the look...had to leave some space so we could get the sidewalk in Should not be too much longer.
Wheat harvest is well under way....yields are good...I just love the color of wheat...If you look close at the buddy seat you will see my little buddy taking a ride in the combine!! We call him the farm manager!!
Ready for market!!

How does your garden grow

One of my first harvests this July in the garden.....a very small zuc, I just could not wait!! Some fresh peas and broccoli. This is my first year raising broccoli and its amazing!

My hubby and I went for a walk in town one evening and I just loved these colors had to snap a photo! Wish my garden looked this good!
Youngest daughter and I have been playing with the camera trying to figure out some good senior poses. This is one of my favorites. So hard to believe she is soon 18 and will graduate next year!

We had a horrid wind and the ceramic bird bath fell and of course hit the stepping stone I had it on and shattered a few pieces into the bath part...any ideas on how to fix this? I was sooo bummed.

So this shows you a little bit of what the summer has been like along with working and trying to stay ahead on the house work it has not been an easy task at all! But I suppose that is why life is busy and life is good! I am not complaining...actually I feel very blessed!
