Hello~

I did not realize it has been near 2 weeks since my last post....my goodness where has the time gone.....well I know where some of it has gone so here is the updates from my little corner of the world!

Basketball first and foremost....Our girls made it to sub section championships...They did great but we did lose in the finals but second place to get that far is nothing to sneeze at so we are still very proud of them.....Our daughter was not able to participate in the final game as she was in Costa Rica for a week with her Spanish class....Once I get some of the photos on my lap top I will upload a few of them for you to see...she took 450 some photos and they are BEAUTIFUL! I just might have to travel that way some day!!

So yes between basket ball.....and youngest was gone for a week..the oldest came home for Spring break....LOL I feel like I had a revolving door for a few days. But I loved spending time with her and getting some major house work done!

A co-worker and a friend from work....her mother is in a battle for breast cancer and I am assisting her in creating a small quilt...we do have a few blocks made and it coming together very nice....so that's anew project I am working on...Will share photos of that too hopefully this next week!!

Our ground is bare.....but been battling floods....*ugh* We go from one extreme to the next. so yes this next week I have some good photos to share with all of you.

Today oldest daughter announced she took yet another part time job that could have potential for full time position and she has signed a lease for an apartment ....so we got the fun day today to go search fro some furniture....she found a darling recliner and an entertainment center...end table and a queen size 7 pc bedroom set and a lamp...so she is well on her way to having her new place completely set up!! We are so proud of her....I had to laugh as she paid her down payment to her apartment and she said to us...I am so proud of myself....I didn't have to ask you guys for money!! Did we raise that girl right or what!!

My Reiki Studio has been extremely busy the last two weeks as well,...It is alsmost like people came climbing out of the woodwork....but that will be a fun update for another time...perhaps later this Spring.

Until then....I hope all of you are having a great weekend.... and hope the week ahead bring all things great for you

TGIF

Am I the only one that is glad it is friday!? WOW what a month I have had.

Well we had a bitter sweet game this evening down in Marshall MN at SMSU, we took second place in tourney and certainly nothing to look down on. So proud of our young ladies and the season is now complete. they went home tonight with their silver medals...and a trophy. Our daughter did get to call just before the game to say hi to the coach and wish the team well...(mom didnt handle that so well) but was her choice to go.
As she complains to about 35 of us on speaker phone "Its sooooo hot " LOL I said well you could have stayed in frozen ville and put up the 2 inches of rain we have and now soon in flood stages and surrounded by mud and water.... Not sure what she expected when she was going to visit so close to the equater...LOL.

Now my life is gonna slow down some...Im happy hubby is already wondering what we will be doing and I guess neither one of knows what we will do now for entertainment but I will make sure should we come a cross something that I will share with all of you.

I am cutting this short as I am exhausted from over time and long hours in my shop and tomorrow is a catchup day on cleaning and laundry after I get home from taking a co-worker out to eat.

Hope you all have a great weekend. I know I plan to get some R&R done as well!

WOOT Lets hope so huh!!
Sisters sharing the moment after a huge win...you'd never guess the short one is the oldest huh....LOL.... People g et them mixed up all the time due to height and size
Becky with her medal...she was so proud. She had a hard time fighting those tears and so did mom!

Winning team!! What a week.....So proud of these young ladies! They did a great job. Even though our daughter will not be present at the next game in Marshall, we play against Pipestone Friday, we plan to go tape it for her and we plan to cheer them on on her behalf!

Good Job ladies we are so proud of all of you~

Well not as bad as it was a few weeks ago but still deep...but the good thing is we have seen SUN for about three days now, which in my book is totally awesome! I am sooooo ready for summer!
Not much has been happening here, been actually in a funk I guess. I have not done any crafting, cleaning or anything else., too busy at work and then next week now my youngest leaves on a Spansh Class Trip to Costa Rica...But we have now hit a snag............. We are now in our basketball playoffs...we won our AA sections last night and have a second Game on Tuesday night.....if we win that we have one more game then next Fri but if we lose we are done......so shes got a bitter sweet feeling going on....if we win both and go to State shes gonna be Costa Rica when that game comes....so now we have to figure out how and what to do if it comes to this......she wants to stay with the class on this trip but sh e also wants to be part of the basketball team either way win or lose...UGH always something it seems.

Oh and yes Prom is coming thus the new dress for a girl who hates dresses...LOL colorful I must say but fits her personality!

It is a perfect for her I do not even need to alter this one!! WOOOOHOOO

Friday, February 19, 2010

well it too 3 days but we finally got plowed out somewhat still icy and snow mounds evr where but such is life I guess this time of year.
After being stranded a few days in town it certainly is good to come home even if we do have a yard full of snow! Then a few days later we get nailed again just when I think we cant possibly have any more room for snow.............

I love it when people call into work over a storm day, or because they can not see and yet some how I always seem to get there, However I usually do not get there with out some type of assistance as you can see in the video. I apologize for the bad quality as I am not one to have such a steady hand but I am sure you get the idea after seeing it. This was taken on January 16 at 4:00 a.m... We still have to dig our way through the railroad when the winds pick up. Did I ever tell you I have a wonderful husband for taking on such a task!!

Not much else new here other than the weather, I am still cleaning out closets and drawers and cupboards, I did get to Montevideo yesterday and went shopping and got some new things ordered for a basketball scrap book. Hope to begin on that in the near future, I am getting behind and soon March is here and will be time to plant a garden again.

Hope you all have a great week and keep being creative!
