We made it to Subsections Championships

Oh wow what a week.... We play Friday night over in Redwood Falls, against Yellow Medicine East and won...Bitter sweet win for my daughter a s she has dreamed of this since she was a little tyke and we were going to games. But as some know she departs this evening for Costa Rica Spanish class trip for 8 days....and she will miss our next game on SMSU floor in Marshall....and she is sooo bummed... but she told the team they will win any how and she will be back to help stomp em in State!! WOOT Lets hope so huh!!
Sisters sharing the moment after a huge win...you'd never guess the short one is the oldest huh....LOL.... People g et them mixed up all the time due to height and size
Becky with her medal...she was so proud. She had a hard time fighting those tears and so did mom!

Winning team!! What a week.....So proud of these young ladies! They did a great job. Even though our daughter will not be present at the next game in Marshall, we play against Pipestone Friday, we plan to go tape it for her and we plan to cheer them on on her behalf!

Good Job ladies we are so proud of all of you~

Now a new week begins, not sure why but I just hate Mondays, oldest is on Spring break for a week but only home for the weekend....here to see her sister off on her trip then headed back to college for her job, She informed us she found a lil apartment with utilities furnished, but she needs some furniture..I said to my husband" HEY this is perfect timing cause we have a graduation next yr! " LOL not so sure he liked that idea..... But none the less will be fun shopping for her!

Other wise not much new. Weather wise has been nice....snow is slowly melting and we can actually see part of the driveway! Predicting rain on Tuesday so should be a sloppy mess! Ahhhh Spring!!

Have a good week gang!

Well not as bad as it was a few weeks ago but still deep...but the good thing is we have seen SUN for about three days now, which in my book is totally awesome! I am sooooo ready for summer!
Not much has been happening here, been actually in a funk I guess. I have not done any crafting, cleaning or anything else., too busy at work and then next week now my youngest leaves on a Spansh Class Trip to Costa Rica...But we have now hit a snag............. We are now in our basketball playoffs...we won our AA sections last night and have a second Game on Tuesday night.....if we win that we have one more game then next Fri but if we lose we are done......so shes got a bitter sweet feeling going on....if we win both and go to State shes gonna be Costa Rica when that game comes....so now we have to figure out how and what to do if it comes to this......she wants to stay with the class on this trip but sh e also wants to be part of the basketball team either way win or lose...UGH always something it seems.

Oh and yes Prom is coming thus the new dress for a girl who hates dresses...LOL colorful I must say but fits her personality!

It is a perfect for her I do not even need to alter this one!! WOOOOHOOO

well it too 3 days but we finally got plowed out somewhat still icy and snow mounds evr where but such is life I guess this time of year.
After being stranded a few days in town it certainly is good to come home even if we do have a yard full of snow! Then a few days later we get nailed again just when I think we cant possibly have any more room for snow.............

I love it when people call into work over a storm day, or because they can not see and yet some how I always seem to get there, However I usually do not get there with out some type of assistance as you can see in the video. I apologize for the bad quality as I am not one to have such a steady hand but I am sure you get the idea after seeing it. This was taken on January 16 at 4:00 a.m... We still have to dig our way through the railroad when the winds pick up. Did I ever tell you I have a wonderful husband for taking on such a task!!

Not much else new here other than the weather, I am still cleaning out closets and drawers and cupboards, I did get to Montevideo yesterday and went shopping and got some new things ordered for a basketball scrap book. Hope to begin on that in the near future, I am getting behind and soon March is here and will be time to plant a garden again.

Hope you all have a great week and keep being creative!

Well I have not started the new year off so great at my posting updates...Hopefully that will get better as time goes... But to get things on the right track I want to do an update and get square my duties I signed up for creative every day. The theme for January is Body....so with much given thought in all of my so called passions which are too many to write about I will share some of the photos of the past week I have taken in regards to body.... Above photo is my youngest daughter trying on a dress she bought for next months winter formal at school...I must say for a tomboy for this one to get in a dress is literally shocking!! I think she made an excellent choice! I love the style on her and the colors too..

This is a snow bank..or *coughs* a body of snow outside of one of our garages.....we had a three day blowing snowstorm....trust me this photo isnt even close to what we had but ya all get the idea....I got stormed in at work for three days...hence another reason I am so far behind in posting....I simply was not home

Two more bodies in my home..hubby in his usual pose reading the paper at lunch...and of course his best buddy....our rescue cat Smokie... she such a brat but now and then you can manage to get a pose of two out of her!

Yes..was a good day I managed 2 poses out of her!!

Any how, that is my few little doodles for the first week of January and the theme Body~

hope eveyone stays safe and stays warm! Until next time!!

Jan 3, 2010

Oh I love new beginnings.....I have been working on my project for creative every day the theme is body....so definitely a good theme for the new year and so many things humming in my head! LOL oh just to get them done!

Well I started on that organization project,...well sort of.....I spent about 3 hours taking strips out of a plastic bag that some of the fabric is in as hubby sat and watched the football game to show him it does take TIME....ahhhh time, not always on my side...but will make the best of it right!!?

Last few days have been -30...-32...-28....high of the days still in the negative teens....too darn cold to do anything!

Nothing much happening here just day to day activities for the normal household, or at least as normal as we can be !!

Well until later this week...Ill post a photo of works in progress by mid week....in the mean time keep on creating!! Stay warm and blessings to all

Reflections and Hope

Happy New Year Eve, to all of you out there!! I can not believe 2010 is just a few hours away as I type this...I am not sure where this last year has gone!

This past week I have remained quiet as I was taking a week to reflect this past year, and to sit and wonder what the New Year has in store for us.

Back when I was a child I recall my father saying that the older you get the faster time flies, of course as I have aged over the years I have found this to be so true, and now my own 2 children are starting to see this as well, The oldest daughter made the remark she is now officially HALF done with her college degree ..in her mind set upon graduation 4 years of college appeared to be overwhelming and now she is the one saying..."Where did time go?"

I reflected this past year,....last year just before Christmas I lost my twin sister, due to bone cancer, then just before the 31st of Dec last yr I got a call from my Dr that my mammogram was abnormal which brought on more tests and and anxiety.....crossed over into 2009....only to find all was good....and I was told I was one of the lucky women that day and to make sure I come back in a year, My year soon up middle of January and I know I need to make the call and go get the job done!...My hope for the new Year will be to have the same results..or the strength to deal with what ever comes my way.

Then we began the farm work, gardening, fighting rains and just a stress full year, but the garden gave us bountiful harvest as well as the crops, even if we did harvest the crops until December 19. We have much to be thankful for! My hope for the New Year will be to have us have a safe harvest, a garden that is plentiful.....the rest the Lord will handle for us.

I did move up in positions at work, I went back to school., got my license to handle and pass medications at at work, which I do an average of 3 days a week, the rest of the time I work in physical therapy and give reiki treatments....My hope for the new year...to increase my knowledge in pharmacology and reach more people in reiki.

This past summer I did open a room in my home for Reiki and Massage, clientele has been wonderful, business continues to grow, word continues to spread. My Hope for the New Year will be to continue to reach the people that need to be reached....perhaps even hold 2 classes in the year for Reiki I and Reiki II.

I took a couple of classes online to become more creative, to open up the creative cycle and just listen to the inner voice and create instead of being so scared of what doesnt look right. My hope for the new year, ...continue to be creative....continue with some online support groups.

I am not one to make resolutions, but I do like to add a challenge in my life now and then, and learn from them and grow from them.......but this year I am undertaking a few challenges, some lifestyle changes, so gonna post a few of my new challenges for the upcoming Year, I promise it is short!!

1. If you wish to participate pay a visit!

2. Healthy eating...I need to lose some weight....my goal this year...Ill be happy if I can take off 35 pounds~..so eating better and exercising more!!

3. more organized...this is my largest downfall in my sewing and craft room its a MESS.....so I know same song and dance.... more organized and less procrastination!

Not bad, My wish for all of you in blog land to be healthy and hope that 2010 bring all you seek and wish for sooooo until Next year!!! Be well~

Winter blahs

I know I really should not complain at all of the winter blahs! We had 1 inch of snow yesterday and last night, some slippery roads this morning on the way to work and another cold front with more snow moving in... I guess for Minnesota we are very lucky we have not had this weather a month ago...but the majority of farmers are still trying to get their soybeans out, we still have approx 75 acres of soybeans and corn that is sitting in about 6 inches of water....So hard sometimes to be patient!

I did some Christmas shopping today, managed a few stocking stuffer items and a couple other items for the girls and a shirt for hubby... I still got a few dishcloths to make for the oldest to go in her box of mixing bowls in those rainbow mixed colors....I will take a pic of them when done...

Nothing really new here, Becky is in full swing in Basketball....tomorrow night will be her third game, so far they lost both games, but not by much....so they have good potential....and no doubt will be a fun season!!

Well until the next time!!
